Mark Korpi – Guitar, Vocals: Mark brings over 30 years playing experience to the sound of SCP. Known for his exquisite taste and effortless technique, his stylistic horizons are unlimited. Touring with bands out of Washington, DC, Chicago and Austin, TX, he has worked with notable performers such as Gary Primich, Evan Johns, Danny Gatton, Big Walter Horton, Son Seals, Brewer Phillips, Syl Johnson, Floyd Jones, Ted Roddy and many more. Michael Corcoran, lead music critic of The Austin American Statesmen dubbed him “Austin’s Secret Weapon” where Mark backed many a famous player and played with anyone who was anybody in Austin. You can hear Mark’s guitar work on several dozen recordings (we’ve lost track). An excellent songwriter, his songs have been recorded by Gary Primich, the Leroi Brothers and have been featured in TV and film including shows such as Malcolm in the Middle and the Chris Isaak show.
Guitar Lin – Guitar, Vocals: Lin earned her nickname “Guitar Lin” from the old timers in Austin, TX, learning to play with blues legends Hosie Hargrove and Blues Boy Hubbard. Quickly becoming a local favorite in Austin, she formed her own band in 1996 and landed a weekly gig at the world famous Antones, headlining every Thursday for 4 years. Lin has opened for prominent acts such as Jimmy Vaughn, Son Seals, Jimmy Rogers, Lazy Lester, Gatemouth Brown, LouAnn Barton and Maceo Parker of James Brown fame. She’s been called a cross between Buddy Guy and Billie Holiday…more importantly, anyone that’s heard her knows this girl can play.
Scott Mayo – Bass, Vocals: Scott thumped his first bass note 35 years ago. Growing up in Orlando he played the central Florida circuit with several bands in his early years, playing venues from the smallest of clubs to the old Atlanta Fulton County Stadium. More recently his pulse and foundation could be heard backing the likes of Stephen Miller & Ernie Lancaster until joing full time with SCP several years ago. As Mark Korpi likes to say “ Mayo’s pounding rhythms lay down a groove that no one can deny”.
Dennis Bram – Sax, Vocals: Dennis has made more than a few trips around the musical block. Starting from his early days in California where he did tours with the Pointer Sisters and Boz Scaggs. Before relocating to Florida, Dennis was a regular on the New York club scene, fronting his own quartet and performing with NY notables such as Milt Hinton, VooDoo Rhythm Kings and Charles McGee to name a few. Dennis has played around the world in too many countries with too many acts to list here. Finally settling in Florida, he has found a home with SCP.
Tom Bayes – Drums, Vocals: Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, Tom has a long musical career behind him. While growing up in the city he worked with the great Lonnie Mack and was a session musician for the famed King records. For a time he picked up guitar and played lead for several years. It was during this time he was approached by the great B-3 player Stephen Miller to join forces with him playing drums. After several highly acclaimed albums Tom was hired to tour with Big Bill Morganfield, who is Muddy Waters son. After several years of touring he then went on to work with guitarist Steve Thorpe. During this time there were two CD releases that gained great demand overseas. He was recently awarded the “Hometown Legend” award from the music and arts publication Brevard Live. Acknowledged by his peers, make no mistake, Tom is great blues shuffle drummer.
